Maria José Angélico Gonçalves holds a Ph.D. from the University of Vigo in Software Engineering based on reusable components, applications in human-machine interfaces, with a distinction Sobresaliente “cum laude” and an MSc in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP). She is President of the Scientific Board and Senior Lecturer at the School of Accounting and Business of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto in the field of Information Systems. She is an integrated researcher at CEOS.PP (Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto). Her main research interests are Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Higher Education, and eLearning. She has participated in international projects. She has organized several scientific events and has many publications (including books, edited books, book chapters, Scientific Citation Index journal articles, and international journal articles, as well as publications in refereed conference proceedings). She is a member of different international committees and associations.
