João Noite Mendes currently acts as course director in Sports Training at the Higher School of Technology and Management that belongs to the University of Madeira. Holding a doctoral degree in Sports Science (University of Madeira and Higher School of Sports, Rio Maior), João has, since 2014, been lecturing at degrees and master’s degrees in Sports and Training Methods and has been invited to develop coaching programs in Portuguese clubs and abroad throughout his academic path. He has been actively involved in Sport Science Seminaries, organized by the University of Madeira and his research interests span both sports analysis and sports physiology. Much of his work has been on understanding, designing, and establishing an undergraduate course for coaches that he currently directs, becoming responsible for leading the staff, organizing the course structure, and most importantly headlining the curricular program for each discipline.
