THE RESEARCH CENTER

OSEAN’s mission is to research, develop, apply, and disseminate practices in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, in the ORs, and in the world, based on the most advanced interdisciplinary knowledge, ultimately contributing to a more developed society—socially, economically, and environmentally.

The aims and activities to be developed in the Outermost Regions Sustainable Ecosystem for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (OSEAN) research group are as follows:

  1. Contribute to the epistemological reflection of the conceptual fields in which it intervenes.
  2. Present winning research projects to national and international agency competitions.
  3. Organize scientific events, namely congresses, conferences, seminars, and the like.
  4. Disseminate research results among peers and in civil society.

  6. Produce publications with a high impact factor.
  7. Collaborate actively in a business incubation center.
  8. In the future, join a Ph.D. consortium. Participate in management, innovation, entrepreneurship, and development networks.
