Alberto José Abreu Figueiredo is a jurist and economist, currently a Ph.D. candidate in Economics, Business and Social Sciences. He has worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda and as a consultant for the IPG@Empreende+ innovation and entrepreneurship project. He is also a researcher at AIDDEA—Laboratório de Design Avançado. He holds a master’s degree in Management, with a specialisation in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a Master’s in Big Data & Business Intelligence (private degree). He has a bachelor’s degree in Law and several postgraduate diplomas in Bioethics, in Law and Economics of Health and Medicines, and in Occupational Health and Safety (TSST), as well as a Pedagogical Competence Certificate (CCP). His research focuses on the legal responsibility of digital platforms, artificial intelligence regulation, and blockchain governance. He has published academic work in the fields of Law and Management and has participated in international academic conferences. He is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association, the Portuguese Economists Association, the National Association of Young Lawyers, the Mozambican Economists Association, the World Economics Association, the Blockchain Industry Group, the Digital Euro Association, and the European AI Alliance.
