Élia Vieira is a Project Manager at ARDITI — the Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation. With a Master’s degree in Tourism Management and Planning from the University of Aveiro and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Business Studies from the University of Madeira, she has experience in science and technology management, strategic communication, and the organization of scientific events. She was responsible for the creation and coordination of ARDITI’s Communication Office, promoting science outreach and fostering public engagement with research. Previously, she contributed to the European project FORWARD, where she coordinated capacity-building initiatives and supported the development of funding strategies for research in the EU’s Outermost Regions. Her work focuses on science communication and project management, with an emphasis on the valorization of research and innovation. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Aveiro, investigating the role of universities in innovation and Smart Specialization Strategies within the tourism sector.
